Programs

A.B. Ellis is pleased to offer programming for 4 and 5 year olds in the Early Learning Program, including a dynamic team approach by a teacher and Early Childhood Educator.  Before and after school childcare is available from 7:30AM until 5:30PM.

Specialized programs are also offered for students requiring Intensive Support in the area of Autism and Intellectual or Developmental Needs.  These programs are offered by teachers with additional qualifications in the area of Special Education who are supported by Educational Assistants to meet the needs of these students.

Students at A. B. Ellis have the opportunity to learn two of Canada's other languages:  French and Ojibwe.  French is offered to all students from Grade 1 to 8 for 30 minutes daily.  Some students choose, instead to take Ojibwe as Core subject in place of French.  Still others enjoy Ojibwe once a week as an elective.

Beginning in December 2010, A. B. Ellis was delighted to offer a DAILY breakfast program, meeting the needs of over 100 students.  This program is made possible through generosity of Better Beginnings Better Futures, The Human League and Breakfast Clubs of Canada.
