MOUSSEAU, ALLISON I
live in St. Catharines where I work as an H&R Block tax associate.
After having to drop out of Niagara College because of financial
problems I started working, trying to find the right place for
me, but in 2007 I had to take some time off to deal with some
medical issues, which are now under control. In 2008, I started
working for H & R Block, and had a fantastic time, so I went
back this year. I enjoy it a lot. I am currently planning my wedding
to a fantastic man who cares for deeply (we plan on having a Halloween
wedding this year or next). My family is doing great. My sister
and brother (both of whom went to EHS) are living in Brantford,
where my parents live as well. This year I am training for the
Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 3 day bike ride from Toronto to Niagara
Falls. To everyone who remembers me, I no longer have spikey hair,
it's all the way down to the middle of my back and is black with
red highlights.
What
do I remember about EHS? Being on the Students Council...it gave
me a lot of confidence and leadership skills.....working with
the office staff and all my teachers, whom I learned a lot from....mostly
all the events we organized throughout the whole 4 years. They
were fun.

While there, I traveled this beautiful country including Figi
and New Zealand. I returned back to Southern Ont in early 2007.
In Sept. 2008 I moved to Pickle Lake, Ont. and taught gr 8 on
an isolated Native reserve. Currently I am teaching 'At Risk'
senior high school students in Guelph, Ont and LOVING IT!
I remember all the many many clubs I was involved in! High school
was a GREAT experience and it was the extra-curricular activities
that really made my time there memorable!

co-op classes and, of course, the euchre games in the cafeteria.

HORE,
DEANNA (now MACLENNAN)
After
graduating from EHS in 1992 I attended Brock University. I graduated
from Brock in 1996 with a BSc/BEd majoring in Mathematics. I began
my teaching career in Wikwemikong and a year later moved back to
Espanola and taught Math at EHS. In 1999 I moved to Sudbury and
started teaching at Lockerby Composite School. I am still teaching
at Lockerby today, teaching Senior Mathematics. I married Scott
MacLennan in 2007. He is an electrician by trade and is currently
teaching at Cambrian College. We live in Lively and are expecting
our first child in March, 2009. My years as a student at EHS are
so memorable. I made so many terrific friends, learned from fantastic
teachers and cherish all of the memories to this day.
BROHART,
HAL
After graduating high school, I studied computer networking and
started working in the BPO industry. I currently live in Sault Ste.
Marie and am a project Manager with Sutherland Global Services.
I am married with two little girls and a third baby on the way.
Favourite
EHS memories: basketball, keeping PJ out of trouble, discussing
items of deep thought with Pete and PJ., playing euchre in the caf.
BURNS,
PETER
After graduating high school, I went to the University of Western
Ontario and did a Honors BSc. in Physiology and Psychology; worked
for E.B. Eddy, Eddy Specialty & Domtar off and on throughout
the 1990's and pursued another degree at Waterloo. I left Domtar
in 2000, went into Medical Underwriting at Clarica and then did
my Honors BSN at University of Toronto (2004). I worked at Sick
Kids during SARS, the blackout and shifted to Adult ICU - Critical
Care at Toronto Western (UHN) where I worked from 2004-2008. I
married a London girl (Kate) in 2004; we had a baby boy (Thomas
Xavier) in 2006. I left Toronto in 2008 to live by the water in
Kingsville where I am working as a Critical Care Manager. I went
back to school and am due to complete my MN-ACNP (Nurse Practitioner
- Adult) in 2010.
What
do I remember most about high school? Science Labs at noon with
Mr. Knaples, R. Jeanveau (went to the Nationals that year 1987);
rocketry and lasers in the courtyard. Pursuing music later in
high school with Mr. Wilson and having the support of some great
mentors and classmates that kicked butt for several years in competitions
(probably still do). Euchre on spares, waking up PJ in the mornings
to get his rear to class, the philosophical debates with PJ and
Hal during spares and the ones with the Grade 13 class and Mr.
Stos (a great teacher and mentor); keeping the "sisters"
out of trouble (you know who you are!). Driving Mr. Stos, Mr.
Cox and Mr. Duraneleau nuts during my last year with Elias.

MAILLOUX,
JULIE (now VUORENSYRJA)
I married Victor Vuorensyrja and we live in Walford with our four
children: three boys and a little girl. I taught at Espanola High
School for a few years and am now teaching in Massey. Some of my
favourite EHS memories are when I went back to the school as a staff
member.

OF 1988[top]
BROWN,
CORRIE (now ST. PIERRE)
I went to Queen's University and became a teacher. I spent my first
years in Chapleau, at a small Catholic school. I married a great guy
named Jean who is from Val Caron. We have an 11 year old son named
Christian. After we left Chapleau, we stayed in Sudbury for a while.
Now, we have a house in the Valley. I teach Core French to grade 1-6
students. I use drama, music and art to engage them in the subject.
I have many fond memories of EHS and the people who were there. I
remember walking through downtown Espanola in a toga when I was in
Gr. 13. I loved hanging out in the art room, but I was too scared
to try out for the musicals. Mr. Morin's funny algebra classes, the
Science Club trip to New York, the kayaking with the Outers Club,
playing cards in the caf... But my biggest influence was definitely
Mr. Stos. I loved his classes...the way he challenged us and treated
us as equals (well, almost!). When I began to teach, I wanted to be
half as good as Mr. Stos. I still do!

HORE, BARB (now de Bastiani)
I
live in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. I got a BA, BEd, Specialist
in Deaf Education, lived in Ottawa for eight years, but most important,
married an amazing man (from Elliot Lake) who loves me still, have
two children, now young adults who have taught me a lot and have helped
keep me young! We've lived in Yellowknife on Great Slave Lake since
1990. Who would have thought Ken Pakala's Geography lesson would have
such an impact? Living in the NWT means freezing cold winters, lo-o-ong,
warm summer days where we can go play all night, including golfing
on sand fairways, boat for a hundred miles and possibly meet one or
two boats, free camp just about anywhere and make such close friends
they become like family. Oh, and we don't mine gold anymore, Ken...we're
seriously into diamonds!
Favourite
EHS memory: The friends, the teachers, clubs, dances, trying to avoid
Mr. Desrocher when I was sneaking out of school during a spare!
