WHAT IS IT?
This program links in-school theory to the reality of the workplace.
Interested in Biology? A placement might include: anima hospital, radiology, physiotherapy.
Interested in Transportation? Your might be placed in a garage.
Interested in Parenting? Your might be placed in a school or caycare.
Interested in Computers? You might be placed in a clerical position or working with computer consultants.

WHY TAKE CO-OP EDUCATION?
• if you have no idea what you want to do after graduation
• if you are trying to decide between two or more alternatives
• if you know exactly where you are headed and want some practical experience

WHO QUALIFIES?
Students who are taking courses at any level in grade 11, 12, University, College, Essential or Open.

MARKS, DISCIPLINE AND ATTENDANCE RECORDS ARE LOOKED AT IN DETAIL BEFORE APPROVAL IS GRANTED. STUDENT INTERVIEWS ARE ALSO PART OF THE SELECTION PROCESS.

HOW IS IT SET UP?
Under the semester system, the student has two choices:
Two credit coop = 1 semester; ½ day
Four credit coop = 1 semester; full day

HOW DO I APPLY?
When choosing your courses: Write COOP02 for 2 credits or Write COOP04 for 4 credits.
This will be followed by an interview with Mr. Riggs.
