Alternative Programs

Elementary

This program gives students in Grades 5 to 8 an opportunity to develop the personal, interpersonal and academic skills that, in the past, have prevented them from succeeding in a regular school program. Student attendance, with consistent participation, is a primary goal of the program. Teacher instruction will focus on improving language, mathematics and learning strategies. Students will develop appropriate behaviour and life skills, including responsibility, positive attitudes and respect for self and others, that will lead to their re-integration into regular academic programs.
