Special Events

Science, Math, Tech Olympics

Over 200 Grade 7 and 8 students in Rainbow Schools take part in this event, which has become an annual tradition for Rainbow District School Board. This dynamic, hands-on learning opportunity allows students to work as a team to solve problems in math, science and technology in a fun and creative way.

Students answer questions to test their knowledge in math, science and technology. They also participate in a design challenge which involves building a structure with simple materials such as straws and popsicle sticks. The structure must be used to accomplish a task.
