Copper Cliff Public School is located in the community of Copper Cliff, Ontario and is approximately six kilometres west of the City of Greater Sudbury. The school has some 205 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Copper Cliff Public School offers a Pre-School Autism Program through Child Care Resources and has a self-contained Comprehensive Classroom. The school also hosts Kindercentre, an activity based program offered by the Rainbow District School Board for children two to four years old. Kindercentre introduces young children to group reading, routines, sharing and more.

Copper Cliff Public School is also home to an Ontario Early Years Satellite Centre. The Centre is open to children and parents on Wednesday mornings from 9 am until noon.  On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the Ontario Early Years offers a Pre-School Nursery School Program.  Walden Daycare offers a Before and After School Program.

Copper Cliff Public School is surrounded by beautiful trees and a very inviting schoolyard with a frog pond and sports equipment, climbing equipment and park benches for relaxing during outdoor play times.  An ongoing regreening project, involving both the community and the school, continues to ensure the enhancement of school grounds.

Copper Cliff Public School reflects the rich historical fabric of the community.  The local headquarters for Vale, one of the world’s largest mining producers, Copper Cliff has welcomed generations of children as well as newcomers to the area.

Copper Cliff Public School was recently featured as a success story in the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) provincial report for improved results in Grade 3 and Grade 6 Reading, Writing and Math for the 2005-2006 school year.  Copper Cliff Public School offers many extra-curricular activities and is actively involved in the local community.

Originally a high school, this Rainbow School is named after the Town of Copper Cliff, a community established by the then INCO.  After closing in 1979-1980, Copper Cliff High School became the elementary school that it is today.
