M.W. Moore Public School

M.W. Moore Public School is located in Shining Tree on Highway 560 at the northern most point of the Nickel Belt approximately 200 kilometers north of Sudbury. The economies of Shining Tree and the nearby community of Westree are dominated by small lumber mill operations, ecotourism, and mineral prospecting. The school offers English language programming for students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. Our unique school environment includes a multi-grade classroom that provides individualized programming as well, learning through technology opportunities, and character education focusing on developing personal goals and leadership skills through formal and informal classroom experiences.
