Lasalle Secondary School hosts Open House on February 22nd

Tanner Sutton, a Grade 10 student from Lasalle Secondary School, works on a welding project in the school’s shop class.

Students in Grade 8 and their parents/guardians are invited to an Open House at Lasalle Secondary School on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

All students are welcome regardless of which elementary school they currently attend.

Lasalle Secondary School offers English and French Immersion to students from Grades 7 to 12. “Our school is a wonderful place to learn,” says Principal Kristina Rivard Gobbo. “We invite students to explore the many programs and pathways that will open doors for their future.”

Lasalle Secondary School has dynamic opportunities available to students – from a diverse Arts program which includes Animation and Film Studies, to Business, Technology, Advanced Placement (AP) and the Sports Health Academics and Leadership Program (SHAL).

Specialist High Skills Majors are available to students in six sectors: Business –  Management; Construction – Modern Residential Construction and Woodworking Concepts; Energy – Renewable Energy; Mining – Millwright; Sports – Sports Industry; and Transportation – Truck and Coach.

Students can also enrol in Co-operative Education, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and Dual Credits through Cambrian College.

“We look forward to seeing students and their families at our Open House,” says Principal Rivard Gobbo. “Everyone is welcome to join us on February 22nd.”
