Rainbow District School Board’s after school sports board-wide championships are organized by the Rainbow District Elementary Sport Council (RDESC) which sanctions board-wide championships in boys and girls basketball, boys and girls volleyball, cross country running, track and field and soccer.

The Sudbury District Secondary Schools’ Athletic Association (SDSSAA) is the inter school secondary sports governing body that serves four coterminous school boards and eighteen member high schools within the City of Greater Sudbury. Rainbow District School Board secondary schools are full members of the SDSSAA.
