The information session will cover a number of topics as students explore options for secondary school, including what to expect in the transition from Grade 8 to Grade 9; choosing course pathways; the difference between pre-IB, academic, applied and essential courses; diploma requirements; Grade 9 course selections; the International Baccalaureate Program; the Laptop Program; the French Immersion Certificate; Student Success Program and the Specialist High Skills Major in the Environment.

“Current Grade 9 students will also talk about their first three months at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School,” said Principal Craig Runciman. “We encourage Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians to attend this information session which will help ease the transition from elementary school to secondary school.”
