Manitoulin Secondary School presents Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”

The Manitoulin Secondary School Musical Theatre Program is thrilled to present a musical production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” licensed by Music Theatre International.

Public performances will take place on Friday, February 16th at 7 pm; Saturday, February 17th at 2 pm; Friday, February 23rd at 7 pm; and Saturday, February 24th at 2 pm in the school cafeteria.

Tickets, at $20 for adults and $15 for youth 12 and under, can be purchased at the door, at the Gore Bay IDA as well as Guardian pharmacies in Mindemoya, Little Current and Manitowaning. Tickets can also be purchased through TicketSpice here: bit.ly/MSSmusical

An iconic tale for all ages, Beauty and the Beast recounts the story of an arrogant young prince and his castle staff who fall under a spell that will only be broken if he learns to love and be loved in return.

“Students are involved in every aspect of the production – from building and painting sets and props, to sound, lighting, hair and makeup, and set changes,” says Yana Bauer, Manitoulin Secondary school teacher and play producer. “The production also features several elementary cast members who are excited to be on the main stage.”

She adds: “Everyone is welcome to join us for a magical experience in support of arts education at Manitoulin Secondary School. Don’t miss it!”
