Nov. 12 and 13 – Professional artists infuse Sudbury Secondary School

Sudbury Secondary School will infuse their Arts Education facilities with inspiring professional artists on Wednesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 13, 2014.
Staff and students will create innovative music, dance, theatre, visual arts and media arts pieces.
The “works in progress” will be presented on Thursday afternoon.
The public is welcome to witness the creative process in action.
Workshops will be guided by renowned artists, including Dr. David Buley, Matthew Heiti, Lauren Foy, and Danny Shamess in the performing arts, and Heather Topp in the visual arts.
Students will be exposed to some of the many ways artists influence and inspire the community by infusing their personal experiences with the guidance of dynamic professional artists.
Students will sustain their creative work both locally and beyond. The nature of collaboration will remind students that they are greater than the sum of their parts, and will always be “a work in progress” themselves.
