Register Now for Summer School being offered from July 6 to 31, 2009

Rainbow District School Board is currently accepting registrations for Summer School.

To enroll in Summer School, students must be repeating a credit and must have achieved a minimum mark of 35 per cent. There will be no new credits through Summer School.

Grade 9 to 12 courses will be offered July 6th to 10th from 8 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 1:15 pm, and July 13th to 31st from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 12:45 pm. This includes courses in English, math, science, chemistry, biology, history, geography and more.

Secondary Summer School will take place at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School, 275 Loach’s Road in Sudbury and is open to all students from both public and separate schools.

Students can register by contacting their current school by June 25th. The last day to register for Summer School is Friday, July 3, 2009 in person at Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School.

Board transportation is not available for Summer School.  Transportation must be provided by students or their parents/guardians.

Courses will be offered providing there is sufficient enrolment.

In addition to the secondary courses, a literacy and numeracy remediation course will be offered for Grade 7 and 8 students enrolled in Rainbow Schools from July 6th to 24th from 9 am to noon.
