What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?

Speaker on assistive technology for students with learning disabilities

Parents, guardians, teachers, and students are invited to Lockerby Composite School on Friday, January 16th, 2009 to hear a motivational speaker on assistive technology.

Todd Cunningham, from the University of Toronto, will talk about how he has struggled with a learning disability and overcome the obstacles.

The presentation, from 9:30 am to 11 am, will focus on the development of learning strategies and the use of assistive technology such as text-to-speech, graphic organizers, word prediction and voice recognition.

This event is sponsored by Cambrian College, the Glenn Crombie Centre, and Rainbow District School Board.

Lockerby Composite School is located at 1391 Ramsey View Court in Sudbury.
