PROGRAMMER

Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Programmer to support the information technology requirements of the Board by assisting with functions and projects of the Information Services department and providing systems analysis, development and support to business information needs of the Board.

The successful candidate should have knowledge and experience in application development methodologies (SDLC) and programming in C# and SQL.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, Visual Studio and web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript are required.  Expeirence using the Telerik framework is an asset.  Report writing is a major component of this position and the applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency in creating reports and using the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services Engine or equivalent.

The successful candidate should have good knowledge and experience with end-user computing, good trouble-shooting skills and a university degree or college diploma in Information Technology or related field.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires an Information Technology Support Technician on Manitoulin Island to support the information technology requirement of the Board, by ensuring the availability and performance of microcomputers and local area networks and providing technical and software support for all information technologies used by the Board.  A post-secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology (or related field) and a minimum of three years experience working in an information technology support role is required for this position.

The successful candidate also requires strong knowledge and experience in implementing and management of microcomputers, both Mac and Windows, iPads, Chromebooks, peripherals and local area networks.  Very good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work as a highly contributory member of a team; good trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills, knowledge of end-user computing, including microcomputer based office automation tools.  Ability to provide user documentation, remote support as well as one-on-one training to staff as required.  Due to the travel requirements of the position, the successful candidate must possess an Ontario driver’s license and own their own vehicle.

CLIENT SERVICES ANALYST – Temporary (12 month Contract)

Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Temporary Client Services Analyst effective immediately for a duration of 1 year.

The successful candidate will participate in functions and projects of the Information Services department and will ensure effective use of local applications, office automation technologies and the student information systems (Trillium, Aspen).  The Client Services Analyst will perform analysis of business information needs and design, develop and implement solutions to meet those needs.  The Client Services Analyst will also create user documentation and provide training to staff.

Strong knowledge of database software (MSSQL, Oracle) is required.  Report writing is also a major component of this position and candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in creating reports and using SSRS or equivalent for report writing.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a highly contributory member of a team.  Excellent problem solving skills and a university degree in a related field is required.

FINANCE CLERK

Rainbow District School Board, with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Finance Clerk to accurately and efficiently process accounts receivables for the Board.  The incumbent will accurately and efficiently process accounts receivable invoices, payments and statements.

The successful candidate should posses an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 accounting courses.  The candidate must have good communication skills; excellent mathematical and computer skills and experience using Excel.
