COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
Rainbow District School Board is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity for a young person in the field of public relations, marketing, journalism and/or communications. The Communications Assistant will create content for website and social media platforms, including text, graphics, photography and video. The Communications Assistant will also provide support for public relations and contribute to the development of publications and information campaigns. The ideal candidate will have skills in writing, photography, video and website content management gained through current or recent college and/or university studies. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment with team mentoring.
The successful candidate must be between the ages of 15 and 24. Funding for the position has been provided by the Ontario Public Service through the Summer Employment Opportunity.
The salary range for this position is $17.60 per hour.

SOCIAL WORKER
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Social Worker to work supporting our schools. Under the supervision of the Mental Health Lead, the successful candidate will provide social work services that build knowledge of mental health, promoting mentally healthy habits and skills. The social worker will facilitate whole class group based interventions to support the acquisition of resilience skills. Consultation and collaboration with school personnel, parents and community agencies will enhance the academic success and social-emotional wellbeing of each student.
The successful candidate must have a Masters in Social Work, be registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers of Ontario and have extensive training and experience working in the area of youth mental health and group work. Candidates should have knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent communication and report writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is required.

REGISTERED BEHAVIOURAL ANALYST – 1 YEAR CONTRACT
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island, requires a Registered Behavioural Analyst (RBA) (1 YEAR CONTRACT). Under the direction of the Manager of Applied Behaviour Analysis Services, the successful candidate will deliver behavioural services through a tiered strategy, across the school board. As a member of the ABA team, the RBA will provide behavioural services such as conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing behavioural intervention plans and support capacity building activities including the delivery of professional development.
The successful candidate will have a Masters degree with specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis (or equivalent) and will be registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. Candidates should have experience delivering ABA services in both school-based and clinical settings. Experience in working with children and youth with disabilities, including autism is required. The RBA will have strong independence skills and the ability to communicate effectively as a team member. Additional training in crisis intervention is considered an asset.
The salary for this position is $135,638 to $141,117. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a permanent full time Human Resources Assistant.
The Human Resources Assistant is part of a dynamic Human Resources team responsible for providing support to employees and management stakeholders regarding compliance with board policy, collective agreements, and applicable employment legislation and Ministry of Education requirements. This position is responsible for the case management of occupational (WSIB) illness and injury claims and will process Form 7sk liaise with WSIB to coordinate effective claims management and timely and sustainable return to work programs and process WSIB billings. The Human Resources Assistant will also be responsible for the coordination of the Police Record Check and offence declaration renewal processes in accordance with the Board and Ministry mandates, and coordination of annual new employee orientation sessions. In addition, this position also provides administrative support to other areas of the Human Resources Department.
The successful candidate should possess a post secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field. A minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience including WSIB management and in a unionized environment is required. An ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, empathy and discretion. Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and attention to detail skills are required in addition to demonstrated initiative and decision making skills. Understanding of Parklane, Google Workspace, and Human Resources Information Systems would be an asset.
