TEMPORARY ADMINISTRATOR OF PERFORMING ARTS (Part Time effective September 1, 2020 to July 6, 2021)

Rainbow District School Board , with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island, requires a Temporary Administrator of Performing Arts effective September 1, 2020 to July 6, 2021.

The successful candidate will organize and coordinate the application and audition/interview process in collaboration with school administration and Arts staff.  The Administrator of Performing Arts will liaise with Arts staff in the organization of all Arts events, will promote events, publicize student matinee performances, coordinate Arts events, coordinate bookings, collect and deposit box office revenue, create seating plans and organize front of house management.  The Administrator of Performing Arts will liaise with and coordinate community partnerships with outside groups and organizations for student performance opportunities, monitor on-going student Arts eligibility status, preparing and sending correspondence for probation status and removal from Arts programs.  The Administrator of Performing Arts will forge new partnerships and support existing partnerships between Arts program and local schools, colleges, universities, community organizations and other entities with the local arts community.  Candidates must have Bachelor of Fine Arts or Performing Arts or related Arts field.

ABORIGINAL SUPPORT WORKERS (1 PART TIME PERMANENT AND 1 CONTRACT)

Rainbow District School Board , with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island, invites applications for a Permanent Part Time Aboriginal Support Worker and a Contract Aboriginal Support Worker (September 2, 2020 to June 30, 2021) to support students in Sudbury schools.

The successful candidate must have experience working with and providing support to students who identify as Indigenous.  As well, candidates must have an understanding of working with people who identify as Indigenous and Indigenous communities and culture.  Experience with elementary or secondary schools and working with social service agencies.  Candidates should have a post secondary diploma in Social Services or related field and must have excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
