ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR, CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAM
(Permanent Full Time, Non Union Position)
Salary range: $90,463-$113,085 plus a comprehensive benefit package & OMERS pension
Rainbow District School Board invites applications for a permanent full time Athletic Administrator.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Athletics, this position is shared amongst the four local boards and will be responsible for the coordination of the co-curricular athletic program for the Sudbury District Secondary School Athletic Association (SDSSAA). This Athletic Administrator will also convene and provide administrative support to the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) championships being hosted, act a a district secretary of the Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Athletics (NOAAA), as well as representing SDSSAA schools at NOSSA appeal hearings. The Athletic Administrator will also be responsible for developing and maintaining SDSSAA information for member reference and the website and also media relations for SDSSAA.
The successful candidate must have a degree in Sports Administration, Physical Education or equivalent. Must have experience in athletic administration or related field is an asset. Knowledge of provincial and local sports policies, procedure appeal processes and safety regulations is required. Familiarity with Robert’s Rules of Order and constitutional procedures as it related to governance is an asset. Knowledge of OPHEA guidelines and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, schools and community partners is required. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills in addition to managing budgets, resources and facilities will be required. French language skills would be considered an asset.

SOCIAL WORKER (Contract for an Indefinite Period)
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Social Worker to work supporting our schools. Under the supervision of the Mental Health Lead the successful candidates will provide social work services that build knowledge of mental health, promoting mentally healthy habits and skills. The social workers will facilitate whole class group based interventions to support the acquisition of resilience skills. Consultation and collaboration with school personnel, parents and community agencies will enhance the academic success and social-emotional wellbeing of each student.
The successful candidate must have a Masters in Social Work, be registered with the College of Social Workers of Ontario and have extensive training and experience working in the area of youth mental health and group work. Candidates should have knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent communication and report writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is required.

CONTRACT INDIGENOUS SUPPORT WORKERS (September 2026 to June 30, 2027 – Manitoulin Island and Espanola)
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island invites applications for Contract Indigenous Support Workers to provide support to students in our Manitoulin Island and Espanola schools.
The successful candidates must have experience working with and providing support to students who identify as Indigenous. As well, candidates must have an understanding of working with people who identify as Indigenous and Indigenous communities and culture. Experience with elementary or secondary schools and working with social service agencies. Candidates should have a post-secondary diploma in Social Services or related field and must have excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
