CARPENTER
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Carpenter. The Carpenter will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintenance and repairs within Rainbow District School Board. Regular travel to sites in the Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island areas will be required.
The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma and a Province of Ontario Trade Certificate as a Licensed General Carpenter with a minimum of 5 years experience including experience working within a commercial setting. The candidate must have experience working in various types of maintenance such as cabinet making, flooring and windows. Experience with commercial locks and hardware would be considered an asset.
This position requires an individual who can work independently and has strong written and oral communication skills. As this position requires travel between sites, a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
The salary rate is $32.25/hour. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7 am to 3:30 pm. There is the possibility of overtime and callouts.

PLUMBER
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Plumber. The Plumber will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintenance and repair of water and heating systems within Rainbow District School Board. Regular travel to sites in the Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island areas will be required.
The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma and a Province of Ontario Trade Certificate (or equivalent provincial) with a minimum of 5 years experience including experience working on heating systems; past experience working within a commercial setting would be an asset.

GAS TECHNICIAN/BURNER MECHANIC
The Gas Technician/Burner mechanic will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and will be responsible for maintenance and installations within Rainbow District School Board. Regular travel to sites in the Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island areas will be required.
The successful candidate will have a Grade 12 diploma and Gas Technician 1 certificate. An Oil Burner Technician certificate would be an asset. A minimum of 4 years experience as a certified technician in commercial and institutional work is preferred. The individual will require a thorough knowledge of all applicable codes and have the ability to troubleshoot and repair heating, combustion, distribution and control systems. Preference will be given to individuals with additional experience in building control systems, pneumatics and air conditioning.

VICE-PRINCIPAL, INDIGENOUS EDUCATION (MANITOULIN SECONDARY SCHOOL)
The successful candidate must have educational leadership experience and possess an ability to establish strong relationships with First Nation communities, Indigenous community partners and school and system leaders. The candidate must also have knowledge of indigenous traditional teachings, cultures, perspectives, values and history. Experience with First Nation Communities, provincial/territorial organizations such as Anishinabek Nation and Chiefs of Ontario; and identification as First Nation, Inuit or Métis would be an asset. This instructional leader must have exemplary communication and team building skills and a demonstrated ability to link groups in order to enhance student learning and support student success based on data. This role will also include system wide indigenous education responsibilities.

CAPITAL ANALYST
Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Capital analyst to provide budget oversight related to Capital Projects and Facility Management and support in the collection, entry, analysis, reporting and submission of various financial reporting required by the Board and the Ministry of Education. In addition, the incumbent will monitor various funds and projects, reconcile accounts and will participate in the development of capital budgets, asset tracking and procurement activities.
The successful candidate will hold or be working towards a professional accounting designation (CPA) and have related work experience. Experience working with a computerized accounting system is required as well as advanced skill in the use of spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards, Ministry of Education programs, as well as un understanding of school board funding would be considered an asset.

ELEMENTARY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – MONETVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL
Rainbow District School Board, with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island invites applications for a part time Elementary Administrative Assistant at Monetville Public School, working 30 hours per week, to provide support to the principal to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the elementary school office.
The successful candidate must have the ability to keyboard 45 words per minute, ability and experience working independently in an office; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; working knowledge of student information systems; knowledge and experience maintaining financial records and school budget. ELEMENTARY CUSTODIAN – MONETVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL
Rainbow District School Board invites applications for an Elementary Custodian to work at Monetville Public School.
The successful candidate must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, be physically capable of performing custodial duties, have the ability to work independently and have good written and oral communication as well as computer skills. Preference will be given to those individuals with mechanical aptitude and custodial and building system experience.
This position is 40 hours per week with a split shift of 6:30 am to 9:30 am and 10:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. The hourly rate is $27.51.
