INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT TECHNICIAN – Contract until August 31, 2023

Rainbow District School Board, with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Information Technology Support Technician to ensure the availability and performance of information technology resources and to provide hardware and software support for all technologies used by the Board.  A post secondary degree or diploma in Information Technology (or related field) and experience working in an information technology support role is required for the position.

The successful candidate also requires extensive knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of Mac and Windows platforms, iPads, Chromebooks, peripherals and managed wireless networks.  Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a highly contributory member of a team.  Must have demonstrated trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills and the ability to provide user documentation, remote support and one-on-one training to staff.

Due to the travel requirement of this position, the successful candidate must possess an Ontario’s driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.

SUPPORT CLERK – Contract until June 30, 2023

Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Support Clerk to provide clerical support to the Centre for Education.  The incumbent will direct parent enquiries; process staff timesheets as directed; complete budget related activities; type reports, proposals, letters and records and transcribes minutes of meetings as well as provide support for OYAP and SHSM coordinators.

The successful candidates should possess an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.  The candidate must have good communication skills and computer skills and experience using Excel.
