New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP)

New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP)

Experienced teachers serve as mentors for new teachers

The New Teacher Induction Program is in place to support new teachers within their first few years of teaching. The program also supports teachers that are in long term occasional positions. At Rainbow Schools, we believe, the single most important factor in student success is the quality of teaching.  We are committed to helping new teachers develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for effective teaching and learning in Rainbow Schools.

Our Rainbow experienced teachers have a significant role to play in nurturing those who are following in their footsteps. As mentors, experienced teachers are invaluable resources. They meet with new teachers throughout the year, for job shadowing, coaching and planning.

In addition to mentoring, the Teacher Induction Program allows teachers to attend professional development of their choice to support their professional growth plans. We are all on a different learning continuum and this program recognizes teachers specific needs. Rainbow is improving student learning by supporting quality teaching.
