School Climate Survey
Student School Climate Survey
Students in Grades 4 to 6 and Grades 7 to 12 in Rainbow District School Board will complete a school climate survey in their class or homeroom the week of June 9 to 13, 2025.
The survey is anonymous. The survey will not be linked to student names or personal information.
Parents/guardians are asked to complete the survey consent form by Sunday, June 8, 2025.
Consent forms were emailed to parents/guardians on June 4, 2025.
The school climate survey collects information about students’ perceptions and experiences of their school as a learning environment, including belonging, safety, mental health and well-being. For Grades 7 to 12, the survey also gathers identity-based data to help schools better understand the communities that they serve.
Data will be compiled in aggregate form only – meaning all student responses taken together, not individual student responses – for each school and for the school board.
The Ministry of Education requires school boards in Ontario to complete school climate surveys. The goal is to promote student achievement and well-being, and to foster a positive school climate that is safe, inclusive and accepting of all students.
