What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?
Summer School: In-person remedial and upgrading secondary courses
Rainbow District School Board will offer in-person Summer School remedial and upgrading courses at the secondary level. To register, students must have taken the course during the current academic school year.
Classes will be offered from Wednesday, July 5, 2023 to Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Sudbury Secondary School, Adult Day School.
During the first seven days of the program, Period 1 classes will run from 8 am to 10:30 am and Period 2 classes from 10:45 am to 1:15 pm. Class times will change on the eighth day – Friday, July 14, 2023 – until the end of Summer School and run from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 12:45 pm. Board transportation will not be provided in Sudbury.
Classes will also be offered at Espanola High School and Little Current Public School for Manitoulin Secondary School students from Wednesday, July 5, 2023 to Friday, July 21, 2023 from 9 am to 11:30 am.
Summer School courses include English, Math, Science, History, Geography, Civics and Careers. Courses are open to all students from public and separate schools.
Courses will run subject to sufficient enrolment and teacher availability. Summer School staff will contact students once course scheduling is determined.
Students can register through their home school before Friday, June 23, 2023.
