Espanola High School hosts Information Night on February 15th
Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians are invited to an Information Night at Espanola High School on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 6 pm.
All students are welcome regardless of which elementary school they currently attend.
“During our Information Night, students and families can visit the school, meet some of our amazing staff, and learn about the many programs and pathways available at Espanola High School,” says Principal Andrea Therrien. “Everyone is welcome!”
Parents/guardians and students can explore a variety of programs to meet the interests and abilities of students. In addition to regular courses, Espanola High School offers vibrant programming in technology and trades education, culinary arts, visual arts, music and Indigenous Education. Espanola High School also has a long-standing tradition of athletic excellence.
Students can enrol in Co-operative Education, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and Dual Credits through Cambrian College.
Espanola High School offers Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in four sectors: Business – Management; Construction – Carpentry Techniques; Hospital and Tourism – Culinary Arts and Food Preparation; and Transportation – Automotive.
These specialized, Ministry of Education approved programs allow students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
