May 28 to 30: Lasalle Secondary School presents Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Lasalle Secondary School invites the community to an adaptation of the Wizard of Oz – Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
The play will be presented from Thursday, May 28, 2026 to Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 7:30 pm in the Lasalle Secondary School Black Box Theatre.
Based on the original 1900 story written by L. Frank Baum, Somewhere Over the Rainbow tells a tale of the iconic quintet – Dorothy, Toto, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion – as they seek out the Wizard of Oz in hopes he will grant their heart’s desires.
Along the way, they overcome a variety of obstacles to discover, through their bond rooted in friendship, they could conquer anything. Soon they will discover that the strength they needed was within them all along.
“From writing to set design to acting, our students have worked tirelessly over the past few months to bring this production to life – and they cannot wait to share the final result with the greater community,” said Principal Kristiva Rivard Gobbo. “Everyone is welcome to join us for this incredible showcase of student talent.”
The cost of admission is $10 for students and $15 for adults.
Tickets can be purchased through SchoolCash Online or at the door.
Lasalle Secondary School is located at 1545 Kennedy Street in Sudbury.
