Edsby communications platform launched in Rainbow Schools

In an effort to enhance its ongoing communications with families, Rainbow District School Board has launched the Edsby communications platform in all Rainbow Schools.

In recent weeks, parents/guardians received an email invitation to activate their Edsby account. Parents/guardians who did not receive an email invitation are asked to contact their child’s school to ensure their email address is up-to-date.

Parents/guardians can download the Edsby application to their computer, laptop or smartphone and access board and school information from anywhere at any time.

An Edsby Website for Parents/Guardians has been created to facilitate sign up and provide an overview of the platform.

“We encourage parents/guardians to activate their Edsby account if they have not already done so,” says Rainbow District School Board Chief Executive Officer Bruce Bourget.

“Through Edsby, parents/guardians can report and track their child’s attendance at school, receive timely updates about important events, read the latest news for their child’s school and school board, connect with their child’s teacher, and get updates on their child’s learning,” he says.

He adds: “As we streamline our communications with families, Edsby will become an important two-way channel between the school and the home, and the home and the school, for both our elementary and secondary schools. We are excited to share Edsby with our families and know they will enjoy using this new platform.”
