Making beautiful music: Dream Cymbals donates to Joan Mantle Music Trust

Dream Cymbals donated a set of cymbals, valued at $600, to Chelmsford Valley District Composite School during the Broche à Foin CD release concert held at Sudbury Secondary School on Saturday, October 16, 2010. The jazz concert was a benefit for the Joan Mantle Music Trust which supports music programs in Rainbow Schools. Dr. Ross Mantle, left, and Leslie Mantle joined Dream Cymbals’ endorser Philip May who made the presentation to Grade 10 student Billy Bartels and music teacher Susan Robinson. Broche à Foin features Philip May on drums, Jean-Yves Bégin on saxophone, Peter Scherzinger on trumpet, Gary DiSalle on guitar, and Joe Reda on bass. The Joan Mantle Music Trust allocates funds to school music programs in Rainbow District School Board, one school at a time.  This ensures that there is a tangible improvement in the condition of equipment in an entire department, allowing for students to achieve more in their musical studies together.
