What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?

Lansdowne Public School will be open on Monday

It will be business as usual at Lansdowne Public School on Monday following an accidental fire that occurred in the basement on Saturday morning (April 9, 2011).

The fire was quickly extinguished. There were no injuries.

Damage was contained to a small area, which has now been safely boarded up.

“A restoration company was on site throughout the weekend,” said Rainbow District School Board Director of Education Norm Blaseg.

He added: “The school has been cleaned and aired and is now ready for occupancy. Classes will continue as scheduled on Monday.”
