Gatchell School shines in Special Olympics poster contest

Gatchell School for students with special needs won third place in the Special Olympics "Make Your Mark" poster contest sponsored by the Greater Sudbury Police Service. Displaying the poster are, front row, from left, Educational Assistant Jan Lappa, Rosemary Farrant, Erika Duval, Educational Assistant Lina Guillet, Educational Assistant Penny Wright, Kyleigh Noland; and back row, from left, Lacey Crepeau and Gatchell School Principal Iva McNair. The poster represents the Special Olympics logo and theme "uniting the world through skill, sharing and joy". It is a symbol of growth, confidence, and joy among children and adults with disabilities who are learning coordination, mastering skills and participating in competitions in order to lead richer, more productive lives.
