Rainbow Board resumes JK to Grade 8 classes on Friday, January 11, 2013

Following a ruling by the Ontario Labour Relations Board this morning, the union representing Rainbow District School Board’s elementary teachers (ETFO) advised that their members will be reporting to work today.
Rainbow District School Board has resumed JK to Grade 8 classes in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin for Friday, January 11, 2013.
Transportation has also been reinstated for students who attend a Rainbow elementary school.
Please note that two routes only, N436 and N441 servicing Pinecrest Public School, are cancelled this morning.
This notice includes Grade 7 and 8 students at Chelmsford Valley District Composite School and Lively District Secondary School. It also includes Gatchell School and the Ruth MacMillan Centre.
“We are pleased that our elementary teachers are back in class,” said Director of Education Norm Blaseg. “As always, we thank students and parents/guardians for their ongoing patience and understanding.”
