May 30: Gatchell School hosts pancake breakfast and swim-a-thon fundraiser

Gatchell School will host a pancake breakfast and a swim-a-thon on Thursday, May 30, 2013.

The pancake breakfast, sponsored by Perkins Restaurant, will be served in the Gatchell School gym at 9 am. 

The swim-o-thon will take place from 10 am to 11:40 am at the Gatchell Pool. 

“The students are busy collecting pledges which will go toward funding our swim program for the 2013-2014 school year,” says Principal Iva McNair. 

“Our students with special needs are very fortunate to be able to participate in a daily swim program which provides opportunity for stimulation, socialization, physiotherapy and development of physical fitness.”

She adds: “Family and friends are encouraged to come and cheer on our swimmers. The event will close with a very exciting staff swim competition.”

 

The staff and students of Gatchell School would like to thank Perkins Restaurant for its ongoing support.
