Radio station Q92 has teamed up with Confederation Secondary School’s Evolutionary Band to offer listeners an opportunity to win an incredible piece of rock and roll memorabilia – a cort axe guitar signed by Gene Simmons of KISS.
The band’s musical director, Norm McIntosh, secured the signature through legendary Canadian producer Bob Ezrin. The guitar, which has been donated by Jett Landry Music, will be signed by Simmons when KISS performs at the Sudbury Arena on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Tickets for the guitar, at $10 each or three for $25, are available at Jett Landry Music, Black Cat, Home Hardware in the Valley Plaza, Ace Hardware in Val Caron, Gloria’s Restaurant, Ace Hardware in Capreol and at the main office of Confederation Secondary School until July 5th.
Tickets will also be sold prior to the concert on Tuesday, July 23rd outside the Sudbury Arena. Q92’s Greg Williams will be broadcasting live under the tent. The draw for the cort axe guitar will take place on the Terry and Mell Show on Friday, August 9th.
All proceeds will go directly to the Evolutionary Band which promotes anti-drinking and driving and anti-bullying across Ontario.
