Elementary Junior Coed Soccer Tournament Champs

A total of 24 teams from Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island participated in Rainbow District School Board’s Elementary Junior Coed Soccer Tournament on Wednesday, June 18, and Friday, June 20, 2014.
MacLeod Public School claimed Gold in the competitive division against Walden Public School, with a 3-0 victory.  Redwood Acres Public School took home Gold in the friendly division against Chelmsford Public School, with a 1-0 victory.
Three teams, Lansdowne Public School, Alexander Public School and Chelmsford Public School, earned a Spirit Award for demonstrating exemplary school spirit and sportsmanship. Each team received a team pizza banquet generously donated by Topper’s Pizza.
