What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?
Rainbow Schools host e-waste recycling events
Do you have old phones, computers, laptops, printers, monitors, radios, cables and power tools to discard?
Some Rainbow schools will host e-waste recycling events to collect your old and unused electronics.
Events will take place at the following locations:
Walden Public School
Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 8 am to 3 pm
Espanola High School/A.B. Ellis Public School
Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 9 am to 3 pm
Manitoulin Secondary School
Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 9 am to 2 pm
A certified and approved company will be on site to recycle all electronic waste.
Companies will also accept commercial and industrial electronic equipment. All equipment containing data will be securely wiped for privacy protection.
The following items can be recycled:
• Computer equipment, tablets and accessories
• Photocopiers and fax machines
• Televisions and monitors
• Phones, digital cameras and Bluetooth accessories
• Media players, game systems, stereo equipment and speakers
• Power tools, alarm clocks and radios
• Mice, keyboards, controllers and cables
