What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?
Register Now for Summer School – July 7 to August 1, 2008
Rainbow District School Board is currently accepting registrations for Summer School.
To enrol in Summer School, students must be repeating a credit and must have achieved a minimum mark of 35 per cent. There will be no new credits through Summer School.
Grade 9 to 12 courses will be offered July 7th to 11th from 8 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 1:15 pm, and July 14th to August 1st from 8:30 am to 10:30 am and 10:45 am to 12:45 pm. This includes courses in English, math, science, chemistry, biology, history, geography and more.
Secondary Summer School will take place at Lasalle Secondary School, 1545 Kennedy Street in Sudbury and is open to all students from both public and separate schools.
Students can register by contacting their current school by June 25th. The last day to register for Summer School is Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in person at Lasalle Secondary School.
Board transportation is not available for Summer School. Transportation must be provided by students or their parents/guardians.
Courses will be offered providing there is sufficient enrolment.
In addition to the secondary courses, a literacy and numeracy remediation course will be offered for Grade 7 and 8 students enrolled in Rainbow Schools from July 7th to 25th from 9 am to noon.
