What’s happening in Rainbow Schools?

February 2 to 6: Open Houses/Kindergarten Registrations in Rainbow Schools

Rainbow Schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin are now accepting registrations for Kindergarten.  Parents/guardians are invited to special Open Houses that will take place at area Rainbow Schools the week of February 2 to 6, 2009. Visit rainbowschools.ca for the complete schedule of dates and times.

For enrolment in Junior Kindergarten, your child must be four years of age by December 31st, 2009. JK is offered three full days one week and two full days the next week.

For enrolment in Senior Kindergarten, your child must be five years of age by December 31st, 2009. SK, a literacy enriched activity program, is offered five full days a week. Students develop enhanced reading, writing and speaking skills at an early age.

If registering your child for the first time, please bring his/her identification documents including birth certificate, birth registry/baptismal certificate, Ontario Health Card and immunization record.

Rainbow District School Board’s Kindergarten Programs, in English and French Immersion, are based on sound principles of early childhood education with a strong focus on character development. Intellectual stimulation, moral values, physical development, social/emotional development and self-discipline are emphasized on a daily basis.
