Lockerby Composite School celebrates its 50th Anniversary
Lockerby Composite School is calling all Vikings for a reunion to the homeland.
The school will celebrate its 50th anniversary on the August long weekend in 2009.
Alumni and staff are invited to enjoy a variety of activities from Friday, July 31st to Sunday, August 2nd, 2009, including opening ceremonies, alumni sport events, a golf tournament, a gala dinner and much more.
“All those who once proudly called the school their homeland are invited to return for an unforgettable gathering of Viking history and a celebration of Valhalla spirit and friendship,” said Lockerby Composite School Principal Heather Gaffney. “It will be a wonderful opportunity to reminisce and rejoice!”
If you are a former Viking or know someone who is, please spread the word about the 50th anniversary reunion on the August long weekend.
“Viking volunteers are also needed to help make the celebration a memorable chapter in Lockerby Composite School’s rich history,” added Principal Gaffney.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lockerby Composite School at 705.522.1750.
