March 22: Algonquin Road Public School hosts exhibit of student art

Students at Algonquin Road Public School will host an exhibition of their art in the school library on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Students in Grade 3 and Kindergarten have been working with local artist Katie Fenerty on a variety of projects that include printmaking, sculpture, cross-curricular installations and multi-media works.

Funded by the Ontario Arts Council in cooperation with the Rainbow District School Board, the Artists-in-Residency (education) program aims to connect local artists with schools.

The program focuses on building community relationships and enhancing arts education by supporting intensive residencies for working artists in partnership with classroom teachers and educators.

Parents, guardians and the public are welcome to attend.
