Belanger Ford Lincoln & Local Community to raise up to $6,000 for CVDCS

Innovative test-drive event will yield much-needed money for student activities

Chelmsford, ON, May 10, 2011 – Belanger Ford Lincoln is bringing Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Chelmsford community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Chelmsford Valley District Composite School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at the school on May 14, 2011, Belanger Ford Lincoln and Ford of Canada will donate $20 to Chelmsford Valley District Composite School. The funds will support athletics programs, yearbook, graduation and prom.

“We know how important extracurricular activities are to our Chelmsford Valley District Composite School, and as part of this community, we want to help,” said Mike Guilbault at Belanger. “This is why we’re excited to raise money, meanwhile introducing parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality line-up and innovative safety technologies.” The event, which will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM will feature the Ford Focus, Fiesta, Mustang, Edge, Explorer, F-150 and other available models.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School and Community programs in 2010, more than 25,000 test-drives at more than 160 events have generated over $460,000 in donations for high schools and organizations in Canada.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, the program gives participants the chance to experience Ford’s exciting new vehicles and leading safety technologies, including:

•    MyKey™, a system that allows parents to limit a vehicle’s top speed and audio volume to encourage safe driving behaviour in teens;

•    SYNC®, the fully integrated, in-vehicle voice-activated communications and entertainment system with 911 Assist™, helps drivers keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road;

To participate, please visit 3594 144 Hwy Chelmsford, ON P0M 1L0, Canada between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on May 14, 2011

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
