Best Start Hub now open in New Sudbury at Churchill Public School
A Best Start Hub is now open in New Sudbury. Located at Churchill Public School, 1722 Fielding Street, the Best Start Hub provides a variety of services for children and families.
“We are delighted to welcome the New Sudbury Best Start Hub in Rainbow Schools,” said Director of Education Jean Hanson. “Early years are important years. Best Start Hubs support home, child care and school, helping to provide a best start for every child.”
The Best Start Hub at Churchill Public School provides English services to families with young children in New Sudbury and area. Best Start Hubs are family centres. They offer children and their families a place to meet, to learn and to grow together.
Services include free programs for families with young children; an enriched family learning environment; resources on child care and preschool learning programs; play groups, parent workshops, family activities and special events; information on health childhood development; and much more.
There are now 13 Best Start Hubs in Greater Sudbury, including five hubs in Rainbow Schools. In addition to Churchill Public School in New Sudbury, there are Best Start Hubs at Algonquin Road Public School in the city’s South End, Copper Cliff Public School in Copper Cliff, Northeastern Elementary School in Garson and Redwood Acres Public School in Hanmer.
