Board receives Employer Service Excellence Award for pension reporting

The Teachers’ Pension Plan has, once again, recognized Rainbow District School Board for its excellence in pension reporting with the presentation of the Employer Service Excellence Award. “This award is a tribute to the efforts of our staff in the Finance Department who continue to provide exceptional pension reporting services on behalf of our employees,” said Rainbow District School Board Director of Education Norm Blaseg. Payroll Clerk Mary FitzPatrick, left, and Payroll Administrator Jody Levesque were praised for their diligence in maintaining accurate employee records and their timely response to priority enquiries.

The Teachers’ Pension Plan has, once again, recognized Rainbow District School Board for its excellence in pension reporting. Employers with the best pension reporting results in the province receive Employer Service Excellence Awards.

“This year, only five of our 184 employer organizations are receiving this important distinction,” said Mila Babic, Director of Employer Information Services for the Teachers’ Pension Plan in a letter to the Board.

She added: “This will be the third time we celebrate your organization’s superior results, as Rainbow District School Board was also recognized with this honour in 2001, our first organization to receive this award, and then again last year for 2008 reporting.”

Rainbow District School Board Payroll Administrator Jody Levesque and Payroll Clerk Mary FitzPatrick were praised for their diligence in maintaining accurate employee records and their timely response to priority enquiries. Employees waiting for pension service receive, on average, a one-day response.
