Charles C. McLean Public School welcomes new Principal

Dawn Noble McCann assumed the leadership role effective August 26, 2026.

Principal Noble McCann’s career in education began 22 years ago.

She joined Manitoulin Secondary School in 2005, where she taught Family Studies, Social Sciences and Empower programming to students in Grades 9 to 12.

In 2020, she was appointed Vice-Principal of Manitoulin Secondary School – a position she held until 2023.

Dawn Noble McCann has a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor.

With longstanding ties to the Gore Bay and Manitoulin communities, Principal Noble McCann is committed to advancing student success, fostering inclusive and welcoming learning environments, supporting staff collaboration, and strengthening community partnerships.

Principal Noble McCann looks forward to working with the students, staff, families and the entire Charles C. McLean Public School community.

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
