Chelmsford Valley District Composite School hosts benefit concert for autism
Chelmsford Valley District Composite School will host its second annual benefit concert in support of autism on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 12 pm to 6 pm in the school parking lot.
The event will feature musical performances from Celine Tellier, Pop Machine, CDK The Band, Riverside, David McNabb, Ashley Woodruff, Rob Murphy and more.
Families will enjoy a barbecue as well as face painting and games for children. Crafts and specialty foods will also be for sale. A car wash will be available on site.
Guests will have the chance to win a Gibson Les Paul Jr. and practice amp, as well as other great prizes including a pair of Oakley sunglasses.
“Our staff and students are thrilled to once again host this special event to raise funds and awareness for autism,” says Chelmsford Valley District Composite School Principal Pamela Potvin. “It will be a fun day for all. Everyone is welcome!”
Admission is a donation of choice. All proceeds will go to the Sudbury and District Chapter of Autism Ontario. Donations can also be made online through the Go Fund Me page at https://www.gofundme.com/summer-concert-for-autism.
Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place in the school gym.
