Chelmsford Valley District Composite School hosts benefit concert for autism

Chelmsford Valley District Composite School will host a benefit concert in support of autism on Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 12 pm to 5 pm in the school parking lot.

Everyone is welcome.

The event will feature musical performances from CDK The Band, Unfinished Business, and Serge Sauve from the country rock band Northbound.

Families will enjoy a barbecue as well as face painting and balloon animals for children. Crafts and specialty foods will also be for sale. Members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service will be on site to show their support.

“Our staff and students are thrilled to host an event to raise funds and awareness for autism,” says Chelmsford Valley District Composite School Principal Pamela Potvin. “It will be a fun day for all. Everyone is welcome!”

Admission is a donation of choice. All proceeds will go to the Sudbury and District Chapter of Autism Ontario. Donations can also be made online through the Go Fund Me page at gofundme.com/2m6nmbrb.

Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

In the event of inclement weather, the event will take place in the school gym.

Chelmsford Valley District Composite School is located at 3594, Highway 144 in Chelmsford.
