Confederation Secondary presents The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon
Hot off the heels of Betty’s Diner, the Confederation Secondary School dramatic arts department is preparing to launch its second theatre production – The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon.
Written by Don Zolidis and directed by teacher Jesse Brooks, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a combination of fairy tales and farce that is sure to suit all audiences.
“This 100-minute comedy tells the not-so-obvious story of how Little Red Riding Hood is related to Rapunzel, who is related to the Devil’s Grandmother, who is related to… you get the picture,” says Brooks. He adds: “The fast-paced story line will grab and hold your attention from start to finish.”
The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon will be presented on Friday, April 24th, Saturday, April 25th and Saturday, May 2nd in the auditorium at Confederation Secondary School. Doors open at 6:30 pm.
Tickets, at $9 for adults and $6 for students, are available at the Confederation Secondary School main office. The public can also reserve seats by calling the school at 671-5948.
Confederation Secondary School made history last year when students took to the stage to present Betty’s Diner, the school’s very first theatre production.
“Confederation Secondary School has a successful athletics program, a vibrant visual arts department and a rock band that’s so talented they have received phenomenal support from the professional arts community. Now we have a threatre program to call our own,” says Confederation Secondary School Principal Mike Mirka. “We are delighted to welcome the community to our school for our second production which promises to be as exciting as our first.”
