The Info Soirée will feature dynamic workshops for children that will give parents an opportunity to see French instruction in action. The workshops will focus on literacy, numeracy, music, dance and/or visual arts. Rainbow District School Board representatives will be on site to answer any questions parents/guardians may have.
Core French, offered daily as part of the regular English program in Rainbow Schools beginning in Grade 1, develops basic communication skills in French and an understanding of the nature of the language. The Core French program offers students a valuable educational experience and the opportunity to develop a basic usable command of the French language that can be expanded through further study or contact with French-speaking people.
