COVID UPDATE: Public Health orders Valley View Public School to close
Effective immediately, Public Health Sudbury & Districts has ordered Valley View Public School to close until further notice.
All transportation to and from Valley View Public School is cancelled.
All students from Valley View Public School will transition to remote learning from home.
School staff will follow up with families to determine who requires technology.
Continuity of learning will be provided as seamlessly as possible.
“Public Health has today determined that there is widespread transmission of COVID-19 in the school and the school is closed to prevent further spread of COVID-19,” states the direction letter from Public Health.
The letter is posted on the Board’s COVID-19 Advisory Section at rainbowschools.ca.
“On behalf of the Board and the school, I would like to thank staff, students, parents and guardians for their ongoing patience and understanding,” said Director of Education Bruce Bourget. “Health and safety, as always, remains the first and foremost priority.”
