April 28: Eat. Sleep. Move. Think. Hear Dr. Greg Wells on The Ripple Effect

Accomplished speaker and author, Dr. Greg Wells, will be in Sudbury on Saturday, April 28, 2018 to headline a conference for parents by parents. Eat. Sleep. Move. Think. Everyone is invited to come explore The Ripple Effect and its impact on the brain.

The free conference, being presented by the Rainbow District School Board Parent Involvement Committee with funding from the Ministry of Education Parent and Community Engagement Office, takes place from 9:30 am to 2 pm at Lockerby Composite School, 1391 Ramsey View Court in Sudbury.

Child care will be available on site.

Dr. Greg Wells is a sought-after speaker and accomplished author. In his latest book, The Ripple Effect: Sleep Better, Eat Better, Move Better, Think Better, he explains his holistic approach to health, and how this can help parents maximize their children’s potential and support their well-being.

A scientist, broadcaster, author, coach and athlete, Dr. Greg Wells has dedicated his career to understanding human performance. Dr. Wells is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology at the University of Toronto.

He also serves as an Associate Scientist in Translational Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, where he leads the Exercise Medicine Research Program. He and his team explore how to use exercise to prevent, diagnose, and treat chronic illness in children.

Dr. Wells has also been an expert source to top media outlets including USA Today, ABC News, “20/20” and The Discovery Channel.

Following the keynote address, participants will have the opportunity to take part in two of the following workshops – Growth Mindset: Building resiliency in children; Mental Health: Supporting wellness; Equity and Inclusion: Transgender 101; and Internet Safety: What parents need to know.
