Espanola High School hosts Virtual Open House on November 25th

Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians are invited to tune in to Espanola High School’s Virtual Information Night website launch on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 6:30 pm. The link will be available at espanola.rainbowschools.ca. All students are welcome to participate regardless of which elementary school they currently attend.
“Our Information Night will highlight the many opportunities available to students at Espanola High School,” says Principal Kristina Rivard Gobbo. “A series of videos will be available online for students and families to learn about each department. Don’t miss it!”
Participants can explore programs, including Athletics, Co-op, English, Geography, Law and English, Lifeskills, Mathematics, Music, Ojibwe, Outdoor Education, Physical Education, Science, Special Education and Visual Arts.
Espanola High School also offers Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) programs in three sectors – Business – Management, Construction – Carpentry Techniques, and Hospitality and Tourism – Culinary Arts and Food Preparation. SHSMs are specialized, Ministry of Education approved programs that allow students to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). SHSMs assist students in their transition from secondary school to apprenticeship training, college, university or the workplace.
