February 1 & 3: Info Nights for Full Day, Every Day JK/SK

Do you have a child starting school this fall?

Rainbow Schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin will host information nights for Full Day Every Day Junior and Senior Kindergarten registrations. All parents/guardians and children are invited to attend.

Information Nights will take place from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 for the English Program and Thursday, February 3, 2011 for the French Immersion Program. Schools offering both English and French Immersion will host one information night on Thursday, February 3rd, 2011. For enrolment in Junior Kindergarten, your child must be four years of age by December 31st, 2011.
For enrolment in Senior Kindergarten, your child must be five years of age by December 31st, 2011.

When registering your child, please bring his/her identification documents including birth certificate, birth registry/baptismal certificate, Ontario Health Card and immunization record.

Parents/guardians can enroll their children in the English Program or the French Immersion Program.

The English Program is exclusively in English and includes a Core French component. Students learn basic French through songs, games, drama and interactive activities for a specified period of time daily, beginning in Grade 1.

French Immersion immerses children in the French language, including cultural experiences. In Junior Kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten, French is introduced from the first day of school.  As children progress throughout the grades, the French Immersion program provides a balance of English and French instruction. This program is designed for English speaking parents/guardians so they may support their children to become bilingual.
