Lasalle Secondary presents High School 101 for Grade 8 students and parents

Lasalle Secondary School will be talking transitions during a series of presentations for Grade 8 students and parents/guardians at area elementary schools next week. 
High School 101 will be presented on Tuesday, April 22 at 5:30 pm at Markstay Public School; Tuesday, April 22 at 7:30 pm at Lasalle Secondary School (for Churchill Public School); Wednesday, April 23 at 7 pm at Carl A. Nesbitt Public School; and Thursday, April 24 at 7 pm at Northeastern Elementary School.
A number of topics will be covered including diploma requirements, course selection processes, special education programming, student services, the Grade 9 timetable, school policies and unique programming for students.
“This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a smooth transition to secondary school,” says Principal Jeff McKibbon. “We look forward to meeting with parents/guardians and students as they look ahead to Grade 9. Everyone is welcome.”
