Lasalle Secondary School hosts Virtual Open House on February 17th
Grade 6 and Grade 8 students and their parents/guardians are invited to the Lasalle Secondary School Virtual Open House on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 6:30 pm. Videos and presentations will be available at lasallesecondaryschool.com.
Lasalle Secondary School is a dual track school offering English and French Immersion from Grade 7 to 12 in newly renovated facilities. “Our bright classrooms along with our modern cafeteria and exceptional physical education facilities make Lasalle Secondary School a wonderful place to learn,” says Principal Maureen McNamara. “Join us online to explore our many programs and pathways that will open doors for your future.”
Lasalle Secondary School has a variety of dynamic learning opportunities for students – from Arts to Business, to Advanced Placement, to the Sport and Healthy, Active Living Program (SHAL).
Specialist High Skills Majors are available to students in five sectors: Business – Management; Construction – Modern Residential Construction and Woodworking Concepts; Energy – Renewable Energy; Sports – Sports Industry; and, new this school year, Transportation Industry – Truck and Coach.
These Ministry of Education approved programs allow students to focus their learning on specific sectors while meeting the requirements of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. SHSMs help students transition from secondary school to apprenticeship training, college, university or the workplace.
Students can also enrol in Co-operative Education, the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) and Dual Credits through Cambrian College.
