Lasalle Secondary School presents its Annual Spring Concert on May 17

The Lasalle Secondary School Music Department will present its annual Spring Concert on Thursday, May 17, 2012. The concert begins at 7 pm in the Lasalle Secondary School gymnasium. Admission is by donation only.

“This year’s theme will be movie favourites, which is sure to be a crowd pleaser,” says Principal Jeff McKibbon. “Those who attend will recognize the popular tunes that will be performed by our band students.”

The following groups will be featured: the Senior Jazz Ensemble, the Junior Jazz Ensemble, the Intermediate Concert Band, the Lasalle Vocal Ensemble, the Lasalle Guitar Ensemble and the Senior Concert Band.

At the performance, the Intermediate and Senior Concert Bands will join together for a final selection. This year’s song choice, "The Great Locomotive Chase", is an energetic piece, which evokes sounds that a train would create. It promises to be great fun for all!

Everyone is welcome to attend Lasalle Secondary School’s Spring Concert. Baked goods and refreshments will be on sale during intermission. Lasalle Secondary School is located at 1545 Kennedy Street in Sudbury.
