Little Current P.S. student runner up at provincial public speaking contest

Public Speaking Runner Up

Jessica Marshall, a Grade 8 student at Little Current Public School, was a runner up at the Ontario Royal Canadian Legion Public Speaking contest in Toronto on Saturday, May 4, 2013. She advanced through various levels of the Ontario Royal Canadian Legion public speaking contest and placed first at the Northern Ontario Competition to earn the privilege of competing provincially. Her topic was Facebook. She turned 13 this year and is now able to have her very own Facebook account. Proud mom Leslie Marshall, a teacher at Manitoulin Secondary School, says  “The speeches were incredible and it was a great experience.” Rainbow District School Board congratulates Jessica Marshall on her outstanding achievement.
